Ghelamco Poland wins another three CIJ Awards

Warsaw, 7 November 2011 – Real estate developer Ghelamco Poland has won three major awards at the CIJ Awards, the industry’s most important competition in Poland. The developer was awarded the title of the ‘Developer of the Year in Poland’ for the fifth time in the past six years and the most recent Ghelamco project, Mokotow Nova, was elected the Best New Office Development. In addition, Mokotow Nova was also given the Essa Award, in recognition of its environmental performance.

 

The prestigious competition is organised annually by the Construction & Investment Journal, a leading real estate magazine for Central and Eastern Europe. The jury, comprising real estate and construction experts, appreciated Ghelamco once again for the quality and the scale of its projects. The presentation of the tenth CIJ Awards took place at an official gala in Warsaw’s Intercontinental Hotel on 3 November 2011. CIJ awards are also granted in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary.

Mokotow Nova took the Polish Developer of the Year and the Best Office Building in Poland award and also won in the Essa Award category that focuses on environmental aspects. Ghelamco views this award as a confirmation of its green building policy that was first expressed externally by introducing BREEAM certification to the Polish market. Three Ghelamco’s buildings, Trinity Park III, Katowice Business Point, and Crown Square, have already obtained a certificate for sustained projects. Mokotow Nova is one of the largest office projects currently under construction in Warsaw’s Mokotow district. The first phase of Mokotow Nova, 25 000 m², was delivered in September. The whole complex, with a total surface of 40 000 m², will be completed in February 2012. The project is located in Woloska Street in Warsaw, only 500 m from the Galeria Mokotow shopping centre. Apart from Ghelamco Poland, Hyundai Motor Poland, Medicover, Cargill and ConnectMedica have established their offices in Mokotow Nova. Oriflame and a large insurance company will move into the complex shortly.
